Privacy Policy
How Ocean Voyage Events collects, uses and protects the information you share with us, from enquiry forms to guest manifests.
Last updated: March 2026 · Ocean Voyage Events Pty Ltd, Sydney
Ocean Voyage Events Pty Ltd operates poker and casino-event charters from the Overseas Passenger Terminal, Sydney. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and through the events we produce, why we collect it, and the choices you have about it. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Information We Collect
We collect the information you give us directly: name, email, phone number and event details submitted through enquiry and booking forms. When you book, we also collect guest manifests, dietary and accessibility requirements, and payment details processed through our booking channels. Our website collects standard technical data such as your browser type, pages visited and approximate location derived from your IP address, used only to keep the site working and to understand which pages help visitors.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to respond to enquiries, produce written quotes, operate your event, and communicate about bookings you have made. Event manifests are shared only with the crew members and terminal staff who need them to run your event safely. We may send service messages about existing bookings and, where you have subscribed, our monthly newsletter. We never sell personal information to third parties.
Sharing and Disclosure
Your information is shared only where the event requires it: vessel crew for catering and safety requirements, the terminal authority for passenger manifests as maritime regulations demand, and payment processors for transactions. Suppliers involved in custom production receive only the details their work requires, under confidentiality terms. Where law requires disclosure, we comply and notify you where we are permitted to.
Storage and Security
Booking and enquiry records are stored on systems located in Australia and protected with access controls and encryption in transit. Guest manifests for private and protocol events are held under stricter handling: limited staff access, secure transfer channels, and destruction after the event where the engagement requires it. We retain records for seven years to meet Australian tax and maritime obligations, then delete or de-identify them.
Your Rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask for corrections, or request deletion where our legal obligations allow it. Marketing emails carry an unsubscribe link that works immediately. To make a request, email the privacy desk at [email protected] with the subject Privacy Request; we respond within thirty days and usually much faster.
Changes to This Policy
We review this policy each season and update it when our practices or the law changes. Material changes are noted on this page with a revised date, and significant changes affecting existing bookings are communicated to those clients directly. Continuing to use the site or our services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
